My credit was not topped up

Processing times

PayPal, credit card, instant bank transfer and crypto currencies are usually credited immediately, with SEPA direct debit the credit can take a few business days, because for newly added mandates we wait for the payment to clear. With PayPal you may still have to approve the payment by email.

Your first top-up can take up to 24 hours. In rare cases one of our filters holds a payment back - we then release it manually and the top-up is delayed.

Auto recharge fails (3-D Secure)

Symptoms: the recharge triggers when the threshold is reached but fails, an open invoice remains in your billing overview, and your bank reports the charge as declined - often stating that authentication is required.

Reason: auto recharge runs without your involvement. If your card requires 3-D Secure confirmation for every transaction, it cannot be obtained and the payment is declined. Triggered manually, the same card works because you can approve it in your browser.

How to fix it:

  • Add SEPA direct debit (recommended). You grant the mandate once when adding the payment method, after which auto recharge runs without confirmation. Steps in Top up your account.
  • Or add a card that does not require 3-D Secure approval for every transaction. Your bank decides this - ask them.
  • Settle an open invoice manually via Add Funds.
