How Geographic Restrictions Work
You can define individual rules for specific countries and set a default rule for all other countries.
Allow or block specific countries: Choose which countries can receive messages and which should be restricted.
Default rule for "Rest of the World": Any country not explicitly defined falls under this rule.
⚠️ Note: If the only defined rule is the "Rest" rule and it is set to "Not allowed," no messages can be sent at all.
Settings in Detail
Define specific countries
You can create a list of countries that are either allowed or blocked.
Example: Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are allowed, while all other countries are blocked.
Rule for all other countries ("Rest")
If a country is not explicitly defined, the standard rule set here will apply.
The "Rest" rule can be used to implement either a whitelist or a blacklist:
If "Rest" is set to allowed, the list functions as a blacklist (only explicitly blocked countries are restricted).
If "Rest" is set to not allowed, the list functions as a whitelist (only explicitly allowed countries are permitted).
Where to Find This Setting
You can configure country restrictions in your seven.io account under Settings > Messages tab > at the bottom of the page.
